Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026 · Instrument Ninja, a Riverun Pty Ltd product (ABN 65 663 364 154, Australia).

Instrument Ninja is built privacy-first. We do not run ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not embed third-party advertising trackers. This explains exactly what we collect, why, and who processes it.

What we collect

Account: your email and authentication identity (via our sign-in provider), and a display name.

Practice data: your progress, scores, streaks, achievements, settings, saved projects and any content you create in the DAW/tools.

Audio: live audio from your microphone or instrument (amp/tuner/training) is processed in your browser and is not uploaded or stored unless you explicitly save a project.

Billing: handled by Stripe — we store a customer reference and plan status, never your card details.

First-party usage counts: anonymous aggregates to understand the product. No third-party analytics SDK.

What we do NOT do

No advertising. No selling or renting of personal data. No third-party behavioural trackers. We don't listen to or retain your live audio.

Subprocessors

We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers:

Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Neon — managed PostgreSQL database (account + practice data).

Stripe — payments and subscription management.

Resend — transactional and support email.

Mux — video lesson hosting and playback (where used).

Data may be processed in the United States by these providers. We keep this list current.

Your rights — export & deletion

Request a full export or permanent deletion of your account and practice data at any time. Email privacy@instrument.ninja.

Classrooms & under-18 learners

For EDU/classroom use, the teacher or institution is responsible for any consent their policies require. We show no ads to any user, including students. See Security.
